I grew up in the Santa Clara Valley ( The Valley of The Hearts Delight).
The produce grown in the sprawling orchards of apples, prunes, cherries and apricots fed the nation.
Then David Packard, then IBM, then Woz and Mr Jobs and now that once agricultural food basket is known world wide as Silicon Valley. All the orchards, dairies and farm land plowed under and developed. A completely different landscape.
For a couple of years ( in my youth ) worked at a community college just up the road from a start up company called Apple. Good times.
On my very first rip to Europe ( the Nixon years) was on a tour bus and in route to a castle in Germany people started introducing themselves. I was the youngest person on the bus. When it was my turn to say hello the older couple from Iowa who had started a conversation with me when I boarded the bus
chimed in, " She's not American, she's Californian." I uttered, " and damn proud of it!"
Still am.
This California native would love to see this exhibit during my November trip but it ends in October.
I hope Helpline posters vacationing in London over the next few months are able to see it.
Looks intriguing.
Eureka!
