cab from Heathrow to Paddington Station

Hi all

How much would a group of 4 expect to pay for a cab from Heathrow to Paddington? Or other suggestions for journey ( 4 seniors)?

Thanks

I am assuming that your hotel is near Paddington. Otherwise, you could easily take the tube, ending up in a different part of London. A good option if your hotel is somewhere along the tube line.

A car service would be better than a cab; cheaper, more room for luggage.
Try Blackberry Cars. They have large cars or Mercedes van service. Plenty of room.

Send them an email and ask for a quote for your journey.

To answer your question, if I had to guess, I would say cost = £75 to £125.

Normally I would suggest heathrow express but with four of you a cab might be just as cheap. I think the big question I have is when are you going? are you going to get caught up in the strike? because that’s probably going to change everyone’s advice

Heathrow express is relatively cheap if you buy at least 90 days in advance. £5.50 per person and you can take any train that day.

I’ve used blackberry cars and can recommend them. Showed up a little early and the van was very clean. Going from near Victoria station to Heathrow the first part of the journey is mostly stop and go and many turns. So not the smoothest ride. Took about an hour when leaving at 1PM.

Agree with Rebecca and Carol.

When is the trip? Where in the Paddington neighborhood are you staying?

When I’ve stayed at 63 Bayswater I’ve reserved my Heathrow Express ticket at least 2 months in advance. 63 is a pleasant 15 minute stroll from Paddington station. I pack light. One 23” roller.

I’m a senior as well. Avid walker. When in London, I average 5-6 miles of walking per day. Firm believer it is the best way to explore London and nearby environs.

Last visit ( November 2021 ) did The Line Art Walk from the O2 to the Thames Barrier. As i meandered discovered the traditional and pleasant Anchor and Hope Pub. Tasty lunch. Nice regulars and bar maid. One gentleman had the sweetest beagle with him. Very pleasant 2 hours spent there. The type of

“local” experience that is fondly remembered.

From the pub it is 20 minutes to the Charlton train station. Headed back to toward Richmond. Rode a train to London Bridge. Then took a Jubilee Tube line train to Westminster. At Westminster switched to a District Line tube back to Richmond.
