Helpful tips for buying theater tickets - there are many websites/stalls to buy tickets from, but realize prices are marked up from the prices from the original sources which is Official London Theatre. https://officiallondontheatre.com/
I just looked at The Theatre Monkey and several other ticket booking sites. In each price range, their ticket costs are 2 to 20 pounds more per ticket. Since the exchange rate is worse for Americans now that adds up. For some shows, I like to pick my best seat. When its not as important, then use TKTS. TKTS is on the Official London Theatre site. On the OLT site you can take a find seat maps, then find seat review sites to see photos and reviews of many of the seats, its just a wonderful source. I've been using https://aviewfrommyseat.com/theater/ quite a bit, so helpful for picking a seat. I appreciate the notes about the view from that seat, the photos, blocked views, foot room, and racking. One shocking note - how much some theaters charge for blocked view seats. At the Barbican they are 32GBP, at The Globe 100GBP!!!
If you're in London June 21 or June 22, make sure to head to Trafalgar Square for West End Live, its free and a lot of fun.
