Bus/ train question: Keswick to Moreton in Marsh

I am looking for travel to Moreton In Marsh from Keswick on a Monday and the least expensive from Penrith is 125 pounds for two people using our two together card.
Is there a less expensive way to get there or is this the best way to go?
Thank you!

It should normally be cheaper to book from Keswick to Birmingham, and Birmingham to Moreton in Marsh on Advance tickets.
On the latter journey you change from the Low Level platforms to the High level platform at Worcestershire Parkway.
You can actually book from 'Keswick Bus' so as to include the bus fare. Saves no money but protects you in case the bus is late.
The scotrail website/app will do the split for you and sell it in one transaction.

The Scotrail price seems a lot higher. 187 pounds verses 125 pounds with LNER. They are both giving the two together discount.
Unless I am missing something.

I'm getting the same price.

Which Monday is this?

I've just been looking at 18 August. That week there is bus replacement from Worcester to Moreton in Marsh, so advance tickets are withdrawn.

However by doing a double split that day on the 1020 from Keswick (1st valid journey on 2T) I can get the fare down to £81.90 for the two of you.

Keswick to Birmingham New Street £43.90
Birmingham NS to Worcestershire P £14.70
Worcestershire P to Moreton £23.80

The first split is an Advance fare, but the others are Off Peak Singles, so valid any train.
On 11 August Penrith to Birmingham is £49.20, so the total is £87.20
