The England Bus Fares Cap is to revert from £3 to the original £2 fare cap from January 2027.
This continues to be a voluntary scheme, so not all smaller operators are participating, even now. It is possible that more smaller operators will now opt out, as they do not get full recovery of the difference from the Government.
