Budget to middle level accommodation at Heathrow Airport?

Suggestions for a hotel there? We have 24 hours in London on a Sunday and will want to leave our bags and return in the evening.

We will be spending the day in the city, so I'm not opposed to a short bus ride from the airport.... but if I can find something in the airport, I guess that would be nice.... really haven't tried that ever, so would love to hear pros and cons. We have an early morning departure.

We stayed at the airport Novotel, which was a short shuttle ride from the Terminal. It was the least expensive hotel on our whole trip. I imagine any of those chain hotels at the airport would do.

I'm flying British Air to the States. I don't know the terminal. We leave at 855am. Thank you.

Well I'm trying to help here because the terminal will make a huge difference as to which hotel makes sense.

I've just spent nearly 10 minutes looking at Heathrow departures for today and tomorrow for 8:55 to anywhere in the USA and there are none.

There is an American at 8:50 to New York. Is that the one? Believe it or not knowing where you are going will help, rather than "the States".

So sorry. I opened up the reservation from the Code Share partner and found nothing. After digging deeper, I found that we leave out of Terminal 5. Going to Seattle

In terms of easiest to catch an early flight the next day, the generally budget-friendly Premier Inn at Terminal 4 literally is a 10 minute walk from Terminal 4 and is a short bus ride from there.

I used the T4 Premier Inn last September. Relatively new, clean, not microscopic in size, and I got a fabulous rate--under 50 GBP for a single room. What's not to like? I'm sure that's not the standard rate, but I hope you can snag a good price.
