British Airways pilot strike

I have a reservation to travel from LHR on Sep 11. I just saw that the pilots had called the strike for 3 dates including Sep 9 and Sep 10. I understand that BA must receive notice of the strike at least 14 days prior to his strike, so this does not yet rule out a strike on Sep 11. Any ideas about the best way to get from London to Marseille airport? I need to be there to pick up my rental car before 5 PM or I will lose the reservation but still be charged. Any ideas?

It's quite common in the UK to announce a set of one or two day strikes, with normal working in between, so there is not an expectation that dates would be inserted. Although it is likely that flights would be disrupted to some extent on 11 September if planes are in the wrong place etc.

Easyjet and Ryanair fly from a London Airport (Gatwick, Luton, Stansted) to Marseille.

The announced strike dates are Sept 9, 10 and 27. It looks like they expect to fly on the 11th.

I was scheduled to fly back to the U.S. on Sept 9 and have already received word my flight was cancelled. However, it looks like they will let me rebook to almost any other flight on any other day as long as there is space.

They are though offering rebookings for people travelling on that date, at least according to their trade info. However, you can't claim a refund unless the flight is cancelled in the recovery from the situation of the previous 2 days.
