Has anyone heard of or used the company "Britain Cars" to get anywhere in London? Their website is kind of "cartoon" looking and I stumbled on it by accident. But their rates seemed reasonable and I would like to use them. It is "greatbritaincars.co.uk"
I'll stick my neck out on this - I have not heard of this outfit ( I am a fan of public transportation , I only use private transportation with a commanding need ) but this smells like a Uber clone , and as such , I do not subscribe to the corrosive concept to a civil society as practiced by companies like this . The skirting of regulation that protects the public at large under the guise of " a sharing economy " is anathema to me . London has one of the best Taxi systems in the world , with licensed drivers who are highly trained , and by and large , responsible in the work they perform . If you need private transportation , you won't do better than a London cabbie .
It does have a private hire operator licence from TfL. Seems to trade under a few brand names.
Understand steven's point, thanks for the compliments of our Black Cab system, but these guys are specialists in airport transfers. I wouldn't take a Black Cab from an airport purely based on cost. For general short trips in town, Black Cabs are great.
GBC are listed on the TFL licence checker site, I'd trust them. Licence 7640.
