A friend and I will be arriving on a mid-March Friday morning at the Bristol airport, from Boston via Reykjavik.
Another friend will be meeting us at the airport to whisk us away to a long weekend in Wales.
One of the most effective ways for me to wake up, especially after an overnight flight, is to take a shower, but we won't be checking in to our Wales hotel until dinner time. I am not looking forward to being all unshowered and gross all day.
I've googled a bit and found a couple of things indicating that there are showers at the Bristol airport, but I cannot locate actual information on the actual Bristol airport website that indicates showers actually exist.
This site: http://www.sleepinginairports.net/europe/bristol.htm says "Showers - Location: in the main terminal before check-in. To access, ask at the International Desk. Rate: £10."
and this 2009 article http://news.cision.com/bristol-airport/r/shower-facilities-provide-a-refreshing-change-at-bristol-international-airport,c450663 says that showers will be available for business and first class passengers and possibly at a later date available to other classes.
I also saw a review which I can't seem to locate again by someone who used one of the lounges to shower.
Do any of you know for sure if showers exist at the Bristol airport and have you used them?
I'm happy to pay for the ability to shower before starting my day of tourism!
