Seeking ideas on how to spend a day and a half in Liverpool.
Two historical options I didn't see in any of the posted articles:
- International Slavery Museum on Albert Dock
- Western Approaches HQ (WWII planning facility, somewhat like the war rooms in London), 1-3 Rumford Street
And another two, which I would have as two of the best - the Walker art Gallery and the Maritime Museum. The latter should be particularly interesting to anyone who has ancestors who emigrated to North America in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. A great percentage from all over Europe crossed the Atlantic by sea from Liverpool.
We stopped in Liverpool for a day while on a cruise several years ago. Our tour options (ship and Private) for Liverpool were pretty much Beatles stuff. We like their music, but don't care to worship them, so we did a great private tour of N. Wales, it was amazing.
