Booking theater tickets from the U.S.

I'm trying to book theater tickets for a play that is sure to sell out (it's got David Tennant in it). I tried doing it online and the transaction got blocked, so I emailed the theater. They are telling me that I must do it by telephone, there is no way to do it online b/c I'm in the U.S.

Last year I ran into this and ended up with a $30 charge on my cell phone bill. I don't have international calling.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I might make this call in a less expensive way?

Thank you!

We do this often. We put about $10 in Skype on our computer, iPad and phone and make our calls to Europe this way. A typical charge for us for example is about 3-20¢ per minute--it varies depending on the type of line you're calling, land line or cell phone. We add another $10 when it gets low. This week we called Ireland and spoke for 8 minutes and it cost 24¢.

Aha, I had forgotten about Skype! Last year I used it when I was in London. Didn't cost me a thing. I had my tablet with me and my husband just used our PC. I will try that. Thanks!

I purchased my Book of Mormon online. I called the CC company first so it expected the charge. Had no problem.
