Trying to find another walk to do. Is this one possible? Where can I find some information about it? Is there a page to make up your own walks? love visiting little villages along the way. will do stow to Burton on the water the day before so I’m just looking for another easy bus ride and the walking back.
It’s a 7-mile walk that takes 3.5 hours— doable in one direction.
The Information Center in Stow-on-the-Wold has a whole series of maps for sale and people that can give you some great advice. If you are staying there your hotel or B&B may have the maps to borrow, ours did.
Ordnance Survey maps mark footpaths and it is possible to plan your own route. Have a look at the map here. The blue squares are 1km squares. Depending on the magnification, footpaths are marked in red or green at the higher magnifications. (This are best for walking as field boundaries are marked and there is a lot more detail.) Follow the Cotswold way from Stow on the Wold to pick up the Diamond Way north to Blockley.
It's definitley worth calling into the Visitor Centre in the Library in Stow on the wold as they will have maps and lots of ideas for walks.
Thanks so much for the great information
