I would like to go to the Christmas celebration at Blenheim. I understand that it is about 2 hours by train. Is this the best way to get to Blenheim? How far is it to the palace from the train station? Is there a bus or is it walkable?

Not walkable (9 miles) - take Bus S3 from Oxford Station to the Palace Gates (Woodstock)- 1 hour train journey then 40 minute bus ride.
Normally you would get a 20% discount for travelling green but not at Christmas as there are special ticketing arrangements in force via Raymond Gubbay (an Agency).
