My wife and I will be in England and France, both countries spread over 30 days. I know copying my passport is important....but should I also bring a copy of my birth certificate? Thank you

It has never occurred to me to bring along a copy of my birth certificate. Your passport, along with a copy of your passport, is just fine.

I can't imagine what help birth certificate would be unless perhaps you are claiming citizenship in either France or the UK?
Out of curiousity, why would you bring yours but not your wife's?

Not sure why, just trying to 'cover all the bases'. Also, yes, I would have brought a copy of my wife's as well. Thank you all for your help and guidance.
