Birmingham/Soho House

I'd like to visit Soho House this July, but according to their website, guided tours are only available during term time. Is it worth going without the tour? Without a guide telling the story, would a visitor get more out it than just looking at a nice 18th century house?

Thanks!

On my visit to Soho house several years ago, I don't remember ever having a guide. Got quite a lot out of it and spent about an hour and a half there. The lunar society something very interesting as is Matthew Bolton and all that happened there. If you have a car, you are not a million miles away from where Isaac Newton had the apple tree fall on his head. Probably a two hour drive.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll keep Soho House on the list. I've been interested in Matthew Boulton since reading Jenny Uglow's "The Lunar Men" several years ago. Alas, I don't think I'll be able to make it to World of Wedgwood, but Soho House sounds great.
