We are flying in early morning from Boston and wanted to do a bike tour to get the lay of land and keep us moving...any suggestions on which company to use and which tour to select? Traveling in the end of May, 2 people, 36 years old. Thanks!
We have not done a bike tour as we are "senior citizens" but our son and his family did the Fat Tire Bike tours of every city in which they were available while they lived and traveled in Europe over the last few years. During that time they were 2 adults ages 38 to 42 and 3 children whose ages ranged from 2 to 17 while they were there. They loved all of the tours and highly recommend them.
Look up the Bike Clubs in London. They may have some recommendations. I read about a trail that goes from London to Richmond along or near the north bank of the Thames. You might find some good routes along the bigger boulevards between the big parks. Otherwise London is pretty tangled. I myself would recommend just taking the wonderful public transportation in the city and bike in the countryside.
