The Northern Line Bank Branch will shut ENTIRELY for at least 4 months, starting shortly after Christmas.
The entire Bank Branch will be shut 24/7.
This is so that the rabbit warren that is Bank station can be completely rebuilt.
What could possibly go wrong?
My sixpence would not be on a prompt and timely reopening...
There is more frequent service promised on the Charing Cross Branch. What they will do with the outer reaches of the branches in the north remains to be seen.
Count on disruption on other lines as displaced commuters find alternate routes.
I haven't seen a press release yet but I will be surprised if the Waterloo & City Line isn't affected too...
