Best way from Heathrow to Kings Cross

Hello Helpful Folks...We will be arriving at Heathrow on Sunday 3 September in the morning (0830-ish). We have a hotel reservation at the Premier Inn London St Pancras waiting for us. Between the Picadilly Line vs Elizabeth Line, which is the better choice for two jet lagged 62 year olds (lol!) to use to get to our hotel? Pros and cons of each? It's my understanding that Picadilly is less expensive but is it less aggravation? with multiple stops and (I'm hearing) not convenient when you have luggage?
Any advice appreciated!

To me personally Piccadilly Line is the absolute winner, and not on cost grounds.

Just get on, sit down, in the outer zones enjoy the scenery, and almost an hour later, you are there. No changes. At breakfast time Sunday it won't be busy and you are joining at the start of the train's journey. You should be able to get a seat beside the door where you can keep your luggage close to you.
Sit on the right hand side of the train in the direction of travel and you wont have much disruption from people getting on and off as most stations are on the left hand side (not all, but the majority).
Elizabeth Line is only 5 to 10 minutes faster, and you have to switch trains and lines at one of several possible locations- there being multiple possible routes.

EDIT- If you do take the Elizabeth Line do not change to the tube at Paddington, as the Circle/H and C line are closed that day for engineering work between Paddington and KC.
Also typo corrected per John New's post.

I think Isn31c meant to say that the Elizabeth line is only 5-10 minutes quicker rather than slower. But you will have to change taking that route so overall time won’t be much different, a bit more hassle and more expensive. For this the Piccadilly line is both most convenient and cheapest.

Piccadilly Line.

Bit of a jaunt from Terminal to where you get the Underground but it well signed and many, many folks will be walking that way. There are moving walkways to help. Simply remember to stand on the right with luggage in front of you or walk on the left.

Piccadilly line every time - only marginally slower, direct to King's Cross St. Pancras, and also happens to be much cheaper

If you have any concerns about luggage pick the first or last carriage as they tend to be quieter.

It's an easy five minute walk in a straight line to that hotel although plenty of taxis outside the station if you need it.

Definitely the Piccadilly Line. You get on at the beginning of the line so you have enough room to stow your luggage. Then sit back and watch the scenery go by.

I've stayed in Kings Cross area multiple times and it's always been so easy to get around and to the airport by the Tube.

I have stayed across the street from the Premier Inn at the Pullman a number of times. I take the Piccadilly Line. You will be able to walk to the Premier Inn from the station easily.

Heathrow is the first stop so there will be no problems with getting a seat and tucking your luggage close to you. I have usually departed Heathrow on the Picadilly line about 8 - 8:30 AM, your time frame. I've never had a problem with my luggage disturbing anyone. Your room is unlikely to be available at the hotel when you arrive at 9:30ish, so there's no need to rush the trip into London.

I just noticed you are arriving on a Sunday - my experience is weekdays, but I would expect fewer people on a Sunday.

Oops - I missed Heather's post; I said the same thing. At least we agree!!
