We are going to the Cotswolds area of England for a couple days in September and would like to see some of the most charming towns/villages in the area. Which do you suggest? Thanks so much!
I didn't stay in the Cotswolds but I've passed through quite a few towns. Castle Combe is a family favorite, and the model village in Bourton-on-the-Water is delightful. Have a great time!
I really liked Bourton-on-the-Water too. There are many lovely towns. We stayed in Chipping Campden and found it to be a good base.
Broadway, Snowshill, Chipping Campden, Bourton-on-the-Water & Lower Slaughter are some of the best & they are all in the same part of the Cotswolds.

Stanton, which is small, horsey, not touristy.
Go to the pub on the hill. Hopefully the owner's dog is still there, who opens the door to let himself out. If you mention it to the owner, he will mock complain that, "yeah, but I can't teach him to let himself back in." (the dog can push down the lever handle, then push open the door, but can't pull the door towards his canine self to get back into the pub)
