Best Tea in Marble Arch

We land at Gatwick from Sicily next month on a Friday at 2pm. This is the tail end of our trip and we will be acclimated to the time zone. We are looking for recommendations on a favorite afternoon tea in the Marble Arch area. We will be on foot but are willing to walk a ways for a great afternoon tea experience. Thanks in advance for recommendations.

From everything that I have read, our hotel Is a 10 minutes cab ride from Gatwick, so I figured we should have time to drop our bags and still make it to tea. Wallace looks like a great option, thank you for the suggestion. The nicer hotels look lovely too, so it seems we will have several option near our hotel. Thank you.

I would add my 2 cents to the Wallace Collection for tea. I did this in 2013 and we enjoyed it very much. Touring the collection was one of my favorite memories of that trip.

Where is your hotel? Nowhere in central London is a 10 minute cab ride from Gatwick. 10 minutes from Gatwick puts you within a five mile radius of the airport, you'll be looking at a possible 1.5 to 4 hour drive to Marble Arch if your flight lands at 2pm on a friday!

It looks like dinner will be your option.

I'm still looking through my notes to see where the heck 10 minutes from Gatwick to Marble Arch came into play..... looks like we will be having tea on Saturday, not Friday. We are staying at the Marriott Marble Arch (we have the option to stay at any Marriott in London on points, but our friend from Canterbury recommended this one for the location.)

If it was based on location then Marriott's County Hall winds hands down. What is it you want to be near?

April, enjoy tea at the Wallace Collection. It's a lovely space and you'll enjoy the Wallace Collection. The Goya to El Greco exhibit opened yesterday which is a must-see. I'll be doing just that very soon and am very much looking forward to it.

Thank you for the feedback on the location. Not sure why my friend likes the Marble Arch area, but I definitely like the Marriott County Hall better! I just switched our reservations.

Good choice! I don't know what level you're at with Marriott however we are Platinum Elite and at our last stay we were upgraded to a balcony suite with direct views across to Big Ben and the London Eye. The London Eye is so close that the people in the pods could peer into your room as they passed if you left the curtains open.

It really cannot be beaten for location in London.

That's quite easy to answer. It's a vibrant area to stay when visiting London -- by Hyde Park, by Oxford Street.
