Best Sunday roast restaurants

Anyone recommend fave Sunday roast eateries near/in Chiswick? I made a reservation at Bulls Head, Chiswick. However, I had a question that the AI reservation system, which sounded remarkably human, was not programmed to handle. And it would be helpful to have that answer before going.

Give them a call (preferably in the quite times, and when they are open)

+44 (0)2089 941204

The time there at the moment is 14:54 (2:54pm in American talk)

I will chime in with the oft quoted wisdoms..."Sunday Roasts are best served at home, not a meal to go out for" which may very well be true, but not much help for the traveler. Also, keep in mind it is mostly a mid-day thing, not evening, later than Brunch.

As for where, it has been a couple years since in London, so hesitate to recommend from personal experience, but I do have great trust in Time Out, here is their recently updated list: https://www.timeout.com/london/food-and-drink/londons-best-sunday-lunches

Thanks all for your replies. We will just have to go in person to Bull's Head; no human answers phone any time I've called. I hope it's good.

If that was me I'd be cancelling the reservation, if they can't be bothered to pick up the 'phone to me or even employ a human to answer an e-mail.
I'm not interested in a venue using the excuse of a shortage of staff to provide shoddy service. I'll bet they'll be expecting a tip afterwards though.
There will be no lack of other pubs in the area who actually want to treat you as a human, not as a number.

I've just tried it at 9pm UK time and only got the robot.

Oh well...

If you use Facebook, you might try communicating with them that way. Some one is monitoring their page as there are posts from today.

Wife and I will be in York on Sunday, so I concentrated my research there and have reservations at the Rattle Owl for 15:30. Feels early to me, but I understand that the Sunday dinner/roast is more of a late lunch/early dinner meal than an actual dinner.

Update: The Bull's Head was great. The robotic reservation system aside, we were greeted promptly by a lovely human, ordered our delicious food (Sunday roast), sat outside and chatted and laughed with delightful duo at the picnic table we shared on the banks of tbe Thames.
