I want to use my unlocked iphone while traveling in England for 9 days . I want to use it for google maps and as a GPS for reading about local spots if there is no wifi available etc... What is the best sim card to get and how many gigs will I need for 9 days
My iphone is an Apple 6 and my carrier is Verizon, will this work in England?
I used giffgaff when visiting my son in UK a few years ago. That's what the kids all used. swapped out my SIM from iphone5S Verizon phone.
You can order the SIM online and have delivered to US, activate online. They have helpful forums.
I have new one sitting at home in a drawer for a upcoming trip.
Just download the Google maps for the places you’re going, for offline use, and you don’t need a SIM, or data. Put the phone in airplane mode when you use maps, and you have a GPS.
Im heading to NI in a few days. Bought a VodaFone Pay as you Go1 sim. 1pound a day gets you 500MB of 4G data and unlimited calls and texts.
I’ve used EE pay as you go SIM plans on several trips. EE has very good network coverage even in rural areas.
On the link, just sort by price and see all the options including double data. EE has boutiques all over London, very helpful staff.
