We're going on the Best of London 7 Day Tour Sept. 13-Sept. 19, 2026 and I'm trying to plan activities for our free times. We will arrive 1 day early to deal with jet lag and stay 2 days after the tour ends. On one of these 3 extra days, we had planned to go to Bletchley park to see the code breaking history. Rick doesn't mention it in his travel guides and I can't find many mentions on this forum. Has anybody been there? Is it worth it? Is it something we could do on Day 1 and be back in time for tour orientation at 3 PM? Any suggestions for sights not on the tour that we shouldn't miss with our extra three days?
Regarding free times during the tour, could you help me out? Day 2: includes afternoon tea and then the British Museum but the Museum closes at 5. How much time do you actually get in the museum? Is it a guided tour or on your own? What time (approx). do the free afternoons start on Day 3: after the food tour in the East End? Day 5 after Borough Market? and Day 6 at Windsor Castle?
Thank you.
