We will be arriving at Heathrow on a Sunday morning at 10:00. What is the easiest mode of transportation from the airport to our lodging near Bermondsey area? We are 2 people with luggage. Would rather not take the train/tube. Are cabs readily available at Heathrow?

Plan on around 90 minutes between you touch down and walking out of the airport.

What emma said above. You don't want the train/tube, so it's either a coach to Victoria, a cab, or a pre-booked car service.
I think the prebooked service is a less expensive option than a cab and sounds nicer to me than the coach to Victoria (followed by a cab from Victoria to your hotel). As I understand it, Blackberry and the other reputable car services, will have your flight number and track its actual arrival time.
