We will be in London for 5 days in Sept, 2018. Plan on numerous day trips this time around so we will be using trains from different stations. Arrive at St Pancreas from Brussels and then will be departing on different days from Waterloo Station and Paddington, so far. At the end will be going to Heathrow.
I know London has outstanding underground system but still would prefer an area that would be convenient to these stations. Looking for suggestions on area of London that would be convenient for easy transport to these various train stations. And, if possible, hotel suggestions. Thank you,
Gladys
We really like staying close to the river on the South bank. Walking along there offers wonderful views. Waterloo Station is in that area, so take a look at Premier Inn Waterloo.
Take a look at The Jesmond Dene Hotel on Argyle St. Just about 2 blocks from
St. Pancreas and Kings Cross. and metro station It is more like a B&B and I have stayed there several times. ( no elevator and some of the rooms are small, but there is 1 quad room that I stayed in once with friends.) Also found there are several "budget" hotels in this same area, but I always go back to this one.
To me the location is ideal and you can easily walk to the British Museum from this area. ( not to mention metros, and trains.
Happy Travels here is a link to the hotel

As above, there really is no one good area for access to all the various National Rail stations. I'd suggest staying somewhere on the Piccadilly Line, no one likes that train back to Heathrow when you're leaving, so may as well be close to the train you'll need to get there to reduce the time you'll need.
