Best Liverpool Beatles Tour?

The Beatle's Childhood Homes tour through the National Trust is wonderful and it is available from one of the pick up locations, Speke Hall, on both the 8th and the 10th as far as I can tell from the website

Forthlin Rd and Mendips via the National Trust.

The best tour is/was the National trust Beatles Childhood Home Tour.
If you can get tickets, do this one first.

If the tickets are sold out, then

the magical mystery tour bus tour, which goes to places outside central Liverpool, like penny lane, Strawberry field and then drops you off at Mathew street to see the Cavern Club. The Beatles Museum is also there.

or

the Beatles Walking tour, which takes you to Mathew Street , and ends at the Pier at the Beatles statute.

We did all 3 tours and they did not overlap.

If you know a lot about the Beatles, skip the Beatles Experience at Albert Dock. It's meant for people who don't know much about the Beatles. (but lots of cruise ship passengers visit here because it's walkable from the cruise pier.)

I loved loved loved the National Trust tour of John & Paul’s childhood homes. If you are interested try to get tickets ASAP. They may be sold out already. We also went to The Beatles Story museum, which I found very interesting. After leaving there we went to the Cavern Club for a couple of hours and enjoyed the live music. Our last afternoon we went on the Magical Mystery Bus Tour. It wasn’t bad, but my least favorite of what we did. I hope you have a great trip. I really enjoyed Liverpool and hope to return some time.

It all depends on what you want/expectations are.

If you are interested in seeing where they live, then the NT tour of John and Paul's homes is the hands down winner.

If you are wanting to see more of the places featuring in their songs and visit the Cavern Club (plus the soundtrack from their songs), then it is the Magical Mystery Tour.
