I need some advise on what areas are best to stay. We have 3.5 days and will be doing touristy stuff like Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, and Stonehenge. Advise on decent hotels?
Lots of good areas - sights are very spread out so no one area is convenient to everything .
I like And have stayed in several areas , Bloomsbury , Kensington , bear Euston station , by Hyde Park , etc - all were great .
I think for me budget is biggest issue as we always have a tight budget ( we go for many weeks so can’t really “ splurge “ on hotels ) so finding one we like , with Ac in summer ( we’ve stayed in a few without Ac and always regret it ) and within what we want to pay is first order .
Best, means different things to different people. We always stay by the Gloucester tube stop on the Piccadilly, District, and Circle lines. It’s easy to get to from the airport and easy to get to anyplace in the city. Our preferred hotel is the Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt on Cromwell road, but we have stayed at a couple other nearby ones. The Radisson is not a budget hotel, but there are less expensive hotels in the area.
Lots of decent hotels!
Many lovely neighborhoods.
What’s your budget?
When are you going?
I loved The Rembrandt near South Kensington tube station. Great location, yummy breakfast.
