best/easiest transport from Heathrow terminal 3 to Victoria Station

I will be flying into Heathrow and will need transportation to the Victoria Station as staying in that vicinity. I will be arriving at 1:30PM on a Friday. I know there are car services, but I would prefer not to spend the ~$100 it appears to cost. I looked on Rome to Rio for the options and there are numerous. I would appreciate anyone familiar with this journey to give advice on the easiest option as of course will be tired after international flight.

The underground (tube) is very straightforward and will cost you £5.60.

Follow the signs to the underground from your terminal and take the Piccadilly Line (there is only one). Get off at Hammersmith and walk 5 yards across the platform to take a District line train to Victoria. It will take a bit less than an hour, quite likely quicker than any car service.

If you have a contactless card or phone or smart watch pay you don't need a ticket at all. Just tap your payment on the readers at either end and the system will work out the cheapest price for you. Once arrived at your accommodation you can use the tube again or use buses (just tap getting on on buses). Everything will be added up and your account charged once a day in the small hours.

The easiest way would be to take a bus from Terminal 3 directly to Victoria Coach Station. It's about a 70 minute ride, but there are no transfers and it's less expensive than the train or a car service. Actually, according to TFL, there is an Express M15 bus that gets you there in 45 minutes. It leaves from LHR Terminal 3 and takes you to VCS.

I'm not too terribly clear on the details but I know there will be others popping in here to clarify (or expound more). :)

please be exceedingly careful using Rome2Rio - it is renowned for incorrect, out of date, confusing information. Sometimes it comes up with a convoluted route nobody in their right mind would contemplate.

For official information on public transport use the official TfL (Transport for London) app or webpage https://tfl.gov.uk/ which will show you tube (Underground, what you may call a subway but subway has a very different meaning here), bus, coach, riverboat, aerial cable car, DLR, train, cycling and walking.

following up Mardee, a lot depends on exactly where "in that vicinity" means.

The coach station or train and tube station or perhaps Pimlico station may be closer or easier.

The transfer from Picadilly Line to District Line couldn't be easier. Walk out one door, walk straight ahead 4 or 5 steps, walk in the next door...

if you use the Tube the amount for your journey goes towards the daily cap, so after you reach that all further tube, bus and tram travel is effectively free that day.

National Express bus from Heathrow bus station to Victoria Coach Station, a couple of mins walk from the train station. Or Heathrow Express or the Elizabeth Line to Paddington and then taxi direct to your hotel-if you didn’t want to cope with changing tube lines to the Circle or District lines

National Express bus takes about 40 minutes, rather than 70, many departures each hour. Often cheaper than even the tube. Either one stop at Earls Court or non stop.

The M15 is a Megabus coach. It does indeed do Heathrow to Victoria as part of its route. It runs very infrequently compared with National Express though.

In any event Megabus charge £8 for Heathrow to Victoria, twice the typical National Express fare. If booked on the day the £8 becomes £10 + their booking fee.
