Bedford Square neighborhood

Considering AirB&B in Bedford Square for two couples on first London trip. What do you think about this neighborhood and location for getting to all the main sites in the city? We like to walk, but also want good tube and bus access.

Looks perfect to me. I stayed nearby last winter, and walked all over that neighborhood while going to the British Museum and walking through Russell Square and shopping at the Primark on Oxford Street. You'd be super close to the Tottenham Court Road tube stop, there's every kind of shop and service imaginable... and yes, it's totally walking distance to Harrod's, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Covent Garden, etc.

I'd say go for it! In fact, I just booked a hotel room in Earl's Court and could not be more jealous of your location! :-)

Very good location, British Museum is practically next door, easy walking to many other sites and to tube and bus stops to get you all over the city. London sightseeing is so spread out that you have to use transit as well as your feet. Fortunately it's easy and fast.

I was in Bedford Square about a month ago and it looked like a very nice area with lots of eating, drinking, and shopping choices. I just walked through but I remember thinking it would be a good neighborhood to stay in.
