Bedford Hotel in Bloomsbury area

Stayed at the Tavistock Hotel just up the street from the Bedford Hotel. It’s a nice neighborhood close to the British Museum and London University. Russell Square and Goodge Street tube stations are nearby.
The location is very close-in to London’s west end theaters, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace.which are only about 1.5 to 2 miles away— a walkable distance.

It’s one of the Imperial group of hotels - I’ve stayed at others in the group.

They’re no-frills hotels in a good location. Don’t expect luxury or charm but they’re generally clean and functional and good value. But the rooms I’ve stayed in definitely feel a bit cheap.

They tend to be popular for group bookings - coach trips etc.

Bloomsbury is a very nice area to stay. Good transport links, and a nice leafy area close to most tourist attractions.
