Beatrix Potter tour

We'll be in York July, 2025, and wonder if anyone can recommend a Beatrix Potter bus tour to the Hilltop, Hill Top Farm, Hawkshead, Armitt Museum, etc. We understand that there have been some closings, so we'd appreciate best advice from your experience. Thanks in advance.

I've never heard of such a tour- York is on the opposite side of the Country to the Lake District. Mountain Goat run a general tour to the Lake District- https://www.mountain-goat.com/Yorkshire/Scheduled-Tours/The-Lake-District-in-a-day-from-York.
but it isn't of much use to you.

York to Hawkshead is a 3 hour, 130 mile drive each way whether you come through the dales or via Scotch Corner.

This would really benefit from an overnight stay in the Lake District IMO- even if you rented a car and drove over you would have a long and busy day. I'm not saying it can't be done, but would be a less than entirely optimal experience. Especially in July when the area is at it's busiest and traffic clogged. It also depends how deep you want to get as there are other BP locations you haven't listed.

If you were staying over here all locations can easily be reached by public transit, which at that time of year is the most sensible option, as opposed to driving round.
