Beatrix Potter Exhibition at Whitehaven, Cumbria

For the duration of the summer school holidays (now to the end of August) the Armitt Museum have loaned their permanent exhibition about Beatrix Potter to Whitehaven Town Council- where it is on display from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday in the town council offices.
Driving it is 30 minutes from Keswick, by bus the X4/X5 to Cockermouth, then the hourly 600.

This is partly to benefit locals, and partly to spread the tourist economy of the Lake District.

From 31 July to 10 August 2026 the tall ship Nao Santa María will also be berthed at Whitehaven, offering tours (a full‑scale replica of Christopher Columbus’s flagship).
