We will be in London beginning May 13 and hubby is a big Beatles & British rock (from 60s/70s) fan. Besides the British Rock Experience & walking Abbey Road, are there any places we can go so he can get his fix of British rock music from that era? You will make his trip! Thanks so much.
I've not taken any of The Beatles Walks but have taken many other of their walks. Always informative, always fun. http://www.walks.com/index.aspx. Peruse them to see if any sound interesting enough to partake in. Maybe this website will offer some options of places to see. http://www.rocknrolltravel.co.uk/london-a-rock-n-roll-guide/
You can also see original Beatles song lyric manuscripts on display with other great literature at the British Library.
We did the Beatles walking tour with Richard Porter a couple years ago & really enjoyed it. He is very knowledgeable & the cost is very low. He does a couple different Beatles tours & there is a Rock tour as well. You don't even need to book in advance you just show up at the meeting point at a certain time. You should check it out. http://www.beatlesinlondon.com/Richard.htm
The British Rock Experience is actually now closed so we couldn't go. We did end up doing the Beatles Walk with Richard through London Walks. He loved it! Thanks.
Thanks for that information, Diana. I hope it didn't ruin your holiday. Perhaps somebody from the RS gang will see this and will update the website....
