Has anyone been to the Beamish Open Air Museum in county Durham recently? Is it worth seeing? We will be in England in August.

Excellent award winning museum about the north east of England at the beginning of the 20th century.
It's mostly outdoors so do it on a day when the weather's in your favour; and it's big - you can easily spend a day there.

It's definitely worth seeing. You need a full day there and even with this, you may not get to see everything!
Food and drink there isn't the usual ripoff that some similar places are.
Best go on a dry day.
