Any ideas for how to get to Brooks Guesthouse from Bath train station? Taxi? Cost? Thank you!
Haven't stayed there but i know where it is. Numerous trips to Bath and I’ve stayed nearby.
Full of energy it makes a nice walk....weather not great- grab a cab at the station. Under 10 Pounds.
I'd also suggest using a Taxi. While it may be a nice walk, it's not something I'd want to do when hauling luggage.
Splurge......take a taxi.
We stayed at the Brooks Guesthouse while in Bath and loved it.
No way would we try to schlepp our luggage that far.
We walked and felt that it was too strenuous. Oh, I am 76.
Just did that tour in April. Next to the Bath train station is the bus station. You want the Number 4 bus. It drops you at a bus stop about 1/2 block past Brooks Guesthouse. No need for the expense of a cab.
Get on the Number 4 bus, then pay the driver.
No way would I walk all that way (with bags) unless you are a hiker who can do it with ease.
Watch out the right side of the bus for The Scallop Shell restaurant. It is a delicious fish and chips (and more) place with a plate glass window front. When you see that, Brooks Guesthouse will soon be on your right. Get off at the next stop and walk back to Brooks Guesthouse.
By the way, the breakfast at Brooks is fabulous.
