Train from Bath to Salisbury with Great Western, the Stonehenge tour bus (which is essentially a public bus service) from outside Salisbury station- https://www.thestonehengetour.info/
then evening train with South Western Trains from Salisbury to London Waterloo.
What are you doing with your luggage while at Stonehenge?

Better suggestion- do a day tour from Bath, then evening train from Bath to London Paddington.

Many folk on here recommend Mad Max Tours- https://www.madmaxtours.co.uk/

Should you need one Caboose (a B&B) just down the road from the railway station is the most convenient luggage storage option.

How long would a non-rushed visit to Stonehenge be?

For myself, I figure about 3 hours plus time for lunch from the time I arrive at the Visitor Center. I take the small shuttle train out to the stones then walk back via the tumuli/burial mounts and the Cursus. I like the museum and the other outdoor exhibition areas as well.

I can't get the map of Stonehenge World Heritage site to load but maybe you'll have better luck. You can see the paths to the various things on the way back from the stones to the Visitor Center.
