Bath Music Festival - Avoid?

My husband and I are going to England in May 2015 and want to go to Bath, but our dates there coincide with the dates of the Bath Music Festival. We're not large crowd fans, and the lodging must be at a premium. Should we attempt it or cross it off and go elsewhere in the Cotswolds? Would appreciate the benefit of your experience.

Bath is a busy city at the best of times; most of the musical events are held indoors (in the Abbey, the Guildhall, Pump Room) so it doesn't gather the huge crowds of, say, Glastonbury. Check the Visit Bath website to see accommodation during the Festival.
