Bath -- Jane Austen 250

As I'm planning my July South of England tour, I found that Bath has events in spring and summer celebrating Jane Austen's 250th birthday. If you have tour free time or are visiting on your own, this website will give you more information if you are a Jane Austen fan:

Also be aware that the Fashion Museum is closed until 2030 while a new museum is being built.

Oh what a fun link! Thanks for posting! I see they have a DIY audio walking route which I will look at later. I'm not planning on Bath this year but it's one of my favorites.

When I did the Best of England tour I planned the dates around the Jane Austen Festival in September. It was SO cool seeing people walking around in Regency dress! Yes, I was imagining myself in one of the Regency RO-mance books I enjoy, lol! Sappy but true! I did do a walking tour from the Jane Austen Centre which was excellent as well as a little class that ended with tea that was fun.

BTW, the Jane Austen Centre is NOT worth the time or GBP to visit. She didn't live in that house, when I went they had nothing she actually owned in the museum and it was mostly a lot of enlarged photos covering the walls.

I hope your dates work so you can do some of the things on offer!
