Bath>Cotswolds>Cornwall stops along the way

Hi! I would love some advice about my upcoming itinerary. ** I know this is not the most efficient route, a bit of a compromise for one person that really wants to hike in Cornwall and one that really wants to do a night in the Cotswolds.

Heading to London > train to Bath for a 2 day retreat and then renting car to drive to the Cotswolds for one night - planning to do lunch at Snowshill Arms, stay at Cowley Manor Experimental for a night for spa treatments and relaxation > drive to Cornwall — would love advice for the route down that would be beautiful and have great stops along the way for food, historic sites (gardens, homes, etc.)

In Cornwall planning to stay at The Pig near Harlyn Bay for 2 nights. We are planning to do some hiking along the shore. Would love food/drink suggestions.

Driving to Par to drop the car then take train to London for 2 nights before flying home.

Anything you suggest changing (besides the Cotswolds > Cornwall route in this short of a trip) trying to make the most of the drive.

Would love to see a Lutyens home, beautiful gardens, quaint village with a great pub.

Thanks in advance!

The Pig at Harlyn Bay is so nice. Although I’ve only been there to eat I think a stay would be very worthwhile.

It sounds like this is a bit of a high end/luxury trip which is good because there a lot of great restaurants in Padstow but they aren’t cheap! Rick Stein is a famous TV chef with a number of restaurants and pubs in the area that specialise in seafood. The flagship is simply called the Seafood Restaurant. Paul Ainsworth is another top chef with restaurants in Padstow.

The Pig also does good food.

I just looked at your Cotswold plans on the map. Cowley Manor is not too bad a diversion but I would not drive further in the wrong direction to go to Snowshill. Focus on seeing the parts of the Cotswolds that you will be driving through anyway on the way to Cowley Manor from Bath.

A trip I’ve done a few times is Newark Park National Trust (some nice walks here if you want, all clearly signposted) then onto Nailsworth for lunch. Williams is a good seafood restaurant in this small town.
