Will be attending a wedding in Barnston in June 2024. Currently have hotel in Liverpool, but would like to be closer to Barnston festivities. Any suggestions or options appreciated. We will be Ubering, not driving ourselves.

Stay the other side of the river on the Wirral. Either Birkenhead for ease of access, or for a bit more charm Heswall is quite a nice village type place (close to Barnston) or West Kirby or Hoylake a bit further up the coast. The latter two have frequent Merseyrail service to Liverpool for onward travel, and Heswall is on the Borderlands line (connect out of Merseyrail at Bidston).
