Banoffee Pie in central London?

I’m having an oddly impossible time finding a place for me to get banoffee pie in central London (preferably in zone 1, 2nd preference in zone 2). I’ll be back there for a very short time (1.5 days) and won’t have time to venture far.

Last time I was there I tried borough market but they didn’t have any left at that time.

Thank you!!

I wasn’t aware Banoffee Pie was a particularly London/UK thing?

I don't think it is. My youngest had some in a restaurant in Benahavis, Spain recently.

You could find a cake shop near your hotel and have one made to order, of a size that suits, to collect when you want. Supermarkets do sell them, had a nice one the other day, from M&S i think.

It was invented (or has he more modestly claims evolved) by an English chef in the 1970s. His story here.

Alfriston near Lewis and Charlston Farmhouse is the birth place of the Banoffee pie, 100% English!

Thanks for brightening my day with a dish that was foreign to me. Foreign in several ways: I hadn't heard of it, and I don't live in the UK. However, since curry has supplanted fish and chips as England's national after-the-pub food, I don't much care about the nationality of something that tastes good. So you are welcome to take poutine from Canada and do your best with it.
