Has anyone ever used the service called AirPortr that will deliver bags from Heathrow to any hotel in the city? We are landing around 8:00 a.m. and think this would be a good way for us to start our sightseeing right away without taking the time to go to the hotel, check in and then start our day. Would feel more comfortable if there are folks out there who could recommend this service.

Haven't personally but do know of people who have used it in London - they were however getting their bags dropped off at home whilst they went into London for work before going home themselves in the evening. It worked out fine for them.

Check to make sure your hotel is okay with this. Most hotels will store your bags if you bring them but you are asking the hotel to take responsibility. Not sure if they will accept them before you arrive.

You don't have to have them delivered straight to the hotel as you could specify a later time that day. They work on an hour 'window' for deliveries.
