B&Bs in UK

Any suggestions for B&Bs for an upcoming car tour of UK next fall - Sept 1-13, 2015

My wife and I will be 3 nights in Cotswolds (probably Burton on-the-water area would be pretty central), then 3 nights in Peaks District, 3 nights in Lakes District, and 3 nights in Edinburgh.

Price around $100-125 per night. Don't need high end, but looking for cottage, country feel.

Any favorites? Thanks!

In September we stayed at the Bramley House in Chipping Campden. http://www.bramleyhouse.co.uk I highly recommend it. We found CC to be very central for touring. Bourton-on-the-Water was lovely, but much more touristy than the other towns we went to.

We stayed in an apartment on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh at the start of our trip this summer, but after touring elsewhere, we came back for our last night a little to the west of the city, in Blackburn, at a wonderful B&B. It had a country feel and even had a nice pet rabbit in an enclosure in the back yard (or garden as they would say), and it's very convenient to the Edinburgh Turnhouse Airport, but not necessarily something you'd want to commute to and from if you were planning on visiting downtown Edinburgh each day. Still, it was the Cruachan B&B ( http://www.cruachan.co.uk/ ).

Fifteen years earlier, in Edinburgh, we stayed in a B&B off of Dalkeith Road, described in Rick Steves' guidebook.

I second the recommendation of Bramley House in Chipping Campden. We stayed there in July and couldn't have been happier. Easy connections to other villages by car and great walking trails nearby. In the Lake District I recommend Mosedale End Farm, a Farm Stay B&B about 10 minutes from Keswick. Definitely in the country! It's a working sheep farm (ranch?) Beautiful area with easy driving access and lovely trails. My favorite pub of our 3 week journey is only 2 miles away. Wonderful hostess/hosts at both places.

In the Lake District I recommend the Herdwick House. It's right in Keswick and an easy walk to everything. On-street parking is convenient and the hosts are lovely people!

I stayed most recently at The Walton which is a B&B that is in New Town and convenient for touring the city, I also like the Inverlieth, which is a small hotel near the Royal Botanic Gardens.

A budget of $125 per night is only about £80. That seems a bit low for a double room, so it may be more of a "basic" room.

I highly suggest Corsham Field Farms in Stow On The Wold, about a 10 min drive from Bourton.
