Robin, a couple of years ago, we stayed at the Poppy Bank B&B in Chipping Campden. Very nice. Lots of dahlias and other flowers. Parking for our car. The backside of the house looks out on to farmland. On Ashton Road, there were 3 B&B's all next to each other. One was Poppy Bank. None of the three were in the RS book. Perhaps they are now.

I was wondering where you will be the day before you start your walk. If you're not terribly far from CC you might want to consider giving it a miss and arriving there on the morning you start. Especially if you only plan to get as far as Broadway the first day, a meer 6ish miles away.

I stayed at the Volunteer Inn there a few years ago... not really a B&B (although they had a good breakfast) but it was a great location right on the main street. Close to restaurants, etc. Part of the Inn was above a pub, but was only a bit lively on the weekend and noise did stop early. Also had parking for my car and the price was reasonable.

We stayed at the Corner Way B&B this summer. Very good location just off the Main Street so we could walk to dinner
