I recall a couple posts recently asking about navigating the underground and concern about stairs.
I was on the underground site and found these two links that might be helpful. Posting in England since that's the likely place posters might look.

Green Park is one of those stations where ignoring the transfer signage and coming right up to station level and going back down again makes the best sense. There must be others.
Paddington is the obvious place to avoid changing. It really has three separate stations and they used to be shown as such (Praed Street for the circle/district, Bishop's Road for the Hammersmith & City etc). The worst is often faced by those coming off the HEX/Connect and going anticlockwise round the circle. If you follow the directions you go down a flight, take the passage under Praed Street, and then have to go up and back down again. When I was a regular here I saw people heaving cases over this all the time. You can't avoid this altogether, but exiting the main station and crossing Praed Street on the level gets rid of two flights.
Absolutely right about Paddington.
The one I wish there were a magic answer to is Bank. Yuk!!
I've never found a decent connection there.
