Avanti have now announced that they will be introducing their new Class 805 and 807 trains (bi mode and electric respectively) into revenue service from the timetable change next weekend.
This will allow the diesel voyager fleet to be gradually removed from Avanti service, and remove the last long distance diesel services being run "under the wires" (on electrified lines).
