My wife and i will be in London in September and would like to see a match at the Emirates. I know that the schedule won't be released until late June or July. I've done some research and I know about getting an Arsenal FC membership and their ticket allocation, but since this is one time only, I'm guessing my chance of getting tickets that way are slim. I've also seen warnings about buying from third parties. My question - are StubHub and Ticketmaster legitimate resellers in England? They appear to have EPL tickets (at exorbitant prices), but I'm thinking that might be my best bet.
Thanks for any help you might provide.

It is illegal for anyone other than the clubs themselves or approved resellers to sell football tickets in the UK. Arsenal do have a system whereby season tickets holders can hand back their ticket for any games they can't make, but you do need to be a member to take advantage and it is often very difficult to get two tickets together. There is always the option of buying hospitality packages. This will guarantee you to get in and will provide some sort of additional benefits typically food and drink. These packages start very expensive and quickly get stratospheric.
Does it have to be Arsenal and Premier League? If you're interested in just seeing a professional football game the Championship and other EFL divisions below the Premier League are much cheaper and easier to get into and arguably have better atmosphere too.
Check via Arsenal if they partner with an agency.
Other than that, strictly speaking it is a criminal offense to resell tickets.
As the buyer you would be turned away at worse ,and there obviously is this market sadly thriving.
Theres genuinely fans in the 10,000s on waiting list to aquire tickets so agents are utter parasites who risk compromising the segregation of fans
Go Gunners! I have been to two matches at Emirates and it is an amazing experience. Definitely get the membership and pay attention to when Red member slots open. The Ticket Exchange is when people with tickets can put them up so be prepared to stalk that site all the time!
The easiest way to go is a hospitality package - in 2019, my friend was able to get us club level tickets through his CC so definitely look and see if your CC offers something like that. I think you can also buy the packages via the Arsenal website.
I honestly did not know that Stubhub was not a legitimate reseller in England like it is in the U.S. until last year.
I highly recommend this activity. Is it Arsenal or bust or would you consider other Premiership clubs like Chelsea, Fulham, Tottenham, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Brentford?
At the time, I did not have a team and saw Tottenham at Wembley before their new stadium was done and it was great! It is not lost on me that I talked about Spurs on an Arsenal post. :)
Thanks to all that have replied. You’ve given me some great input (even my neighbor Born A Traveling Man). In all good conscience, I couldn’t go to a Chelsea match, but I could do the others in London. I don’t dislike Spurs like I dislike Chelsea. I’ve been an Arsenal fan since I saw them at Highbury in the late 90s. Now it’s time for the Emirates.
Hello neighbor!
I strongly encourage you to go for Arsenal based on your fandom and hope you get tickets. My brother did get tickets by joining the club membership not too long ago, so I know it’s possible. It is tough, though. Then maybe have other clubs as back up options. As you know, it’s electric to go and would be even more special if you get to see your team. If, somehow, you don’t get Arsenal tickets a match at one of the others, while not your team, would still be worth it.
I’ve seen a game from 4 of the 5 big leagues. I’ve seen Messi at Camp Nou, Kane at Wembley, Mbappe at Parc des Princes and Muller at Allianz. Only missing a Serie A match (Italy).
My experience of watching Arsenal play my team, both at Highbury and the Emirates, is that the atmosphere was very soporific. Not for nothing was Highbury known as The Library. Some of it is undoubtedly due to the increasing numbers of tourists at games, who seem to be more interested in photographing or filming the games. This is not to decry the posters above - I'm sure there are also plenty of fans who come to watch and enjoy rather than film.
As I try to point out regularly, the atmosphere is frequently much better at EFL games and as a bonus they are much easier and cheaper to get into as well.
