Are there apps like Yelp and Uber that are based in the UK and dependable and easily usable?

The two apps that I found closest to Yelp and Uber are.....Yelp and Uber. Both are available in the UK.
You don't even have to download new apps. You can use the US versions,

Yelp isn’t widely used. I had to Google it to be sure of what it was. Uber is the main taxi app used here and I look at Google reviews for restaurants.

When in London I’ll use Timeout for events and restaurants. Loved it when it was a printed magazine so still use it for up to date research.

For rides, you can also use Gett - like Uber but for London black cabs.

I use Just Eat for food delivery. There's also Deliveroo and UberEats. Food delivery is massive in the UK. A very efficient way to eat if you're in one of the larger towns or cities (particularly London) and you have the facilities to eat takeout food. Lots of choice you might not see in other countries.
