Apartment hotels in London.

Hello
We used airbnb for our France trip in 2015 while in Paris. We had a negative experience so my mom would prefer a more standard option. We have heard of apartment hotels. We have looked at Citadines and Marlin apartments. Are there any others you can recommend ?

She would also be interested in an airbnb type rental if you had recommendations for a centrally located and CLEAN 2 bedroom option? ( elevator, clean, comfortable beds that are not so lumpy you could use them for slalom ski hills or waterbeds......I kid you not we got a full motion 12 inches off the floor 1980's waterbed with not one mention of this by the owner.....LOL)

We welcome your suggestions.

Possible locations are open for discussion. We have looked at Coventry garden, Notting Hill, but have not come to a hard decision.

We are traveling Great Britain for a month and will be in London in early to mid November. If that helps.

Look at Go Native - good quality holiday apartments in a hotel-style building. I've stayed at their Monument apartments a couple of times. You have the facilities of a front desk, beautifully clean and modern apartments and weekly housekeeping (you can pay extra for daily, I believe).

We stayed at Vancouver Studios apartments here. We stayed in their 2 bedroom apartment. It was lovely! The beds were comfy, apartment was lovely. I felt like we stayed in a local neighborhood in London. The apartment is located in Bayswater near Notting Hill. A great pub nearby too! Vancouver studios is a hotel with a few apartments. We checked into the hotel, they ordered and paid for a taxi to take us to the apartment. The hotel is a RS recommended hotel. We highly recommend the apartment!

I liked Vancouver Studios also - clean rooms and helpful employees. I didn't stay in a 2-bedroom apartment-style option but I like the hotel's location. It's close to 3 different Tube lines, which is good because Tube stations or sometimes entire lines are closed for maintenance. If you can't access one line or station, you'll have another option.

Look for the term "Managed Apartments." These are apartment buildings run like hotels. Front desk, housekeeping, etc.

Anyone else have recommendations? I want to give my mom as many options as possible.

We used Go native Monument last time in London, its an all apartments hotel. Very clean, modern and close to everything. Shopping for food up on main street, come out the front door and you get a look at the Shard across the water, down the street the Monument to the Great Fire, and Monument tube station a block away. It is on a small walking street so if you get dropped off the taxi will not be able to take you directly to the front door.
We also used an all apartment near Paddington, The Cleveland, which was ok but not a spacious. Airbnb's are probably the nest solution for long term rental but I think a lot of the reasonable priced ones are out by Carney Wharf area.

I've stayed at Fraser's Suites (an aparthotel) a few times when I've been in London - the Queensgate location is very nice and very convenient and I'd defnitely recommend it. Kitchens are small (and in the studios more of ktichenette) but definitely had everything we needed for light cooking.

I had a great stay at Roomzzz in Manchester (an aparthotel). They are a chain, and I see that they are opening in London Stratford in "autumn 2017."

I don't know if this is a good location for seeing London, or if this property will be open for your dates, but here's the information about them: http://www.roomzzz.com/coming-soon/

They also say on that page that they are looking to open a central London location, but with no further information, it's unlikely they'll be ready in time for your trip - alas.

A couple of years ago I stayed at The Nadler Kensington. It's an apartment-like hotel with a small kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, sink and tea/coffee maker. Private bathroom. They have free wifi, air conditioning and 24-hour front desk. It's a short walk from Earl's Court tube station. I understand that they opened another one near Buckingham Palace.
