Aparthotels in London

Hi all,
Have any of you stayed in an aparthotel in London that you would recommend? Any area of London is fine. I am looking for a studio. Thanks

We stayed for a week at The Chronicle by Supercity Aparthotels in early June. It was advertised as a studio but felt more like a one bedroom because there was a wall between the living / dining / kitchen area and the bedroom. The space was modern, comfortable bed, fantastic shower, strong, consistent Wi-Fi, and we loved the convenience of the in-room washing machine. It is near the Holborn tube station.

The only negative is that there are very few places to eat nearby because it is in a business / office area. Our work-around was to eat dinner wherever our sightseeing concluded for the day and then go back to the apartment.

There are a few hotels in London that offer what you are looking for. Many are part of chains.

In alphabetical order:

Citadines
Fraser Suites
Hyatt House
Locke Hotels
Residence Inn
Staybridge Suites
Staycity/Wilde by Staycity

Most have multiple locations. These are all run as hotels but offer apartment like amenities.

We stayed in the Wilde by Staycity on the Strand a few years ago (2018) and it was a smallish room but great location and all we needed. Small kitchenette, bathroom was good, comfy bed. Make sure you don't get a room without windows though, there are some of those!

I've stayed at the Citadines Holborn and Barbican locations and enjoyed my stay at both.

We also like Locke at Broken Wharf— we spent two nights there in September. And thanks to this reminder, I will book us a night there next September.

The location, right on the river path near the north end of the Millennium Bridge is ideal for us (we like that part of London). They have an in-house bistro with outside tables, and there are more restaurants within easy walking distance (the Thames path on the south bank is lined with pubs and restaurants). Or you can catch the bus from the stop by St. Paul’s for the short ride to the Strand and Covent Garden for many more.

Do consider their Locke Living club. It's merely signing up with an email address to receive their marketing emails for the discount code. I've always just maintained a spam email address for such things. 10% discount is standard and sometimes that discount gets bumped up. Additionally by joining you get free early check-in and late check-out.

I highly recommend Vancouver Studios - rooms are smallish, but have a kitchenette and the outdoor garden, location, and ambiance of the hotel are wonderful.

Thank you Lela, Frank II, Celeste, VAP, Miranda , Lola and Dawn for your suggestions!! Each sounds like an excellent alternative to a hotel or Airbnb. And as I'm a older solo traveler, it's reassuring to have someone at the front desk 24/7.

Blairjoy, thanks and what a coincidence as I had seen their aparthotels mentioned in a google search and have looked them up. I'll specifically look at the Kensington Harrington Court facility.
